Brownfield cleanup and redevelopment can improve communities and help increase the amount of industrial land to generate economic development and greater employment levels. The Lake County Port Authority will work with owners and developers to tailor a program that meets the needs of all parties.

Redeveloping Brownfields Can:

  • Generate savings from reuse of an existing site and its infrastructure
  • Preserve remaining undeveloped land
  • Increase community green space
